• Moving Forward

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to summarize my thoughts and responses in a new post. I've seen a lot of activity across various threads, and I think it's important to address a few key points moving forward. If anyone wants to revisit previous discussions, feel free, but I'll be focusing on how we can improve our debates here.

Some have suggested that I belong on Reddit. I want to clarify that I've been part of this BBS community for decades and deeply value the diverse perspectives here. I'm not seeking an echo chamber; I'm here to engage in meaningful debate, and I believe this community is capable of that.

I've been accused of trying to avoid debate by making provocative statements and then moving on quickly. I assure you, that was never my intention. My goal was to spark a lively discussion, and I'm here to engage fully with anyone willing to have a constructive conversation.

It's been noted that toxicity is present in this forum. I agree that it can sometimes derail our discussions. My hope is that we can steer away from personal attacks and focus on the issues, making this forum a more welcoming space for everyone.

Debate is most productive when it challenges ideas, not individuals. I encourage everyone, including myself, to keep our discussions centered on the issues at hand and to respect differing opinions, even when we strongly disagree.

Moving forward, I'm committed to maintaining a respectful tone in all my interactions here. I hope we can all do the same, ensuring that this forum remains a place for thoughtful and civil debate. Let's keep our focus on the topics that matter and leave personal attacks out of the conversation.

Additionally, I'm currently working on modernizing and re-releasing GT-PowerBBS, as I am the rights holder, and getting back into BBS communities. I'll likely be connecting to DOVE-Net, so I'm looking forward to interacting with many of you in that space as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to continuing our discussions in a more constructive and respectful manner. This community has potential, and I hope we can work together to make it a better place for meaningful debate.

    Thanks,

    Neofree

I think a lot of people turned on you over the way you were slobbering over Kamala.

While I appreciate your sentiment, the only way to avoid being offended is to not participate.
